MNUFC + Partners Deliver Food To Midway

When Allianz Field was constructed in the Midway neighborhood, a big part of the club's mission was to serve the community around the stadium. With hardship felt throughout the country and especially in this area over the past three months, Minnesota United teamed up with Allianz Life and Keystone Community Services to provide the Midway-area with fresh produce, dairy items and meat.

"We are so thrilled with Minnesota United and with Allianz to use this beautiful facility," said the President of Keystone Community Services, Mary McKeown. "It's right in the heart of Midway and it's a great location to have cars come through and make an easy, safe pickup."

The third of four planned free Farmers Market In A Box distribution events concluded in late August, and the club has been overwhelmed by an outpouring of support from and for the community around Midway. These events have provided meals for more than 10,500 individuals or 2,300 families with food provided by Second Harvest Heartland through the COVID Food Assistance Program (CFAP), putting food on the table in an underserved neighborhood.

More about Keystone's food shelves ...

In addition to supporting the community through programs that improve the lives of youth, families and seniors, Keystone’s food shelves in Ramsey County are designed to support those who need food assistance and other help. Along with their Foodmobile, crisis support and additional food programs, Keystone Community Services works to strengthen their community by giving ample access to neighbors in need.

Allianz Life is also supporting Keystone by matching all financial contributions up to $50,000 to help provide access to healthy food for those living in Saint Paul and the Midway neighborhood. To donate, click here.
