Minnesota United and Saint Paul Public Schools today announced the fifth-annual Saint Paul Cup, presented by Bell Bank, hosted at Allianz Field on Friday, Oct. 9. The two high schools featured in this year’s showcase are Washington Technology Senior High School against Johnson Senior High School.

The Saint Paul Cup, inspired by the former Mayor’s Cup, is an annual doubleheader soccer showcase that features boys and girls varsity soccer teams from the Saint Paul Public School district. The 2026 matchup between Washington Technology Senior High School and Johnson Senior High School will kick off starting with the boys game at 5:30 p.m. CT, followed by the girls match at 7:30 p.m. CT. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. CT.

Minnesota United and Bell Bank, in partnership with Saint Paul Public Schools, collaborated in 2022 and created a new annual match for Saint Paul high schools to participate in and play in front of friends, family and classmates at the home of the Loons. The goal of the Saint Paul Cup is to feature Saint Paul Public High Schools showcasing local youth soccer talent while helping to grow and connect soccer at all levels in our community and within the city of Saint Paul.

Allianz Field and Bell Bank welcomes students, family and all fans from Washington Technology Senior High School and Johnson Senior High School for free to support their teams. Those interested in attending the Saint Paul Cup can claim their free tickets HERE.

“We at Minnesota United are excited for this year’s rendition of the Saint Paul Cup, and I hope these two schools are thrilled to play at Allianz Field,” said MNUFC Chief Development Officer Manny Lagos. “I can't tell you enough about how cool it is to walk throughout the concourse and see all the families, all the students, staff and our community cheering on their schools, and the energy that comes with that atmosphere. Then, you have the games where there's good and competitive soccer, and for these athletes to get to play on one of the nicest stadiums in the country, it has to be one of the coolest things they can experience.”

“Being invited to compete in the Saint Paul Cup is an incredible honor for our program,” said Washington Technology Senior High School Girls’ Coach Aaron Crawford. “Washington has a proud tradition of soccer, and getting the chance to represent our school on a stage that celebrates the very best of Saint Paul soccer is something our players will remember for the rest of their lives. We’re thankful to Bell Bank, Minnesota United FC and Allianz Field.”

“Here at Johnson Senior, we are extremely excited for the opportunity to represent our community at such a great event. We have passed along to our student athletes, band members and all that will be involved in how fortunate we are to have an organization that prioritizes this great experience for our young people,” said Johnson Senior High School Boys’ Coach Tony Scheuerman. “Thank you to Bell Bank, Minnesota United and Allianz Field for the opportunity!”

“Bell Bank is proud to continue supporting the Saint Paul Cup and working with Minnesota United FC to make a positive impact in our community," said Erin Procko, Twin Cities banking director and Minneapolis president for Bell Bank. "Both Bell and Minnesota United believe in being active community partners and creating opportunities that bring people together. The Saint Paul Cup gives local student-athletes an unforgettable opportunity to compete at Allianz Field, represent their schools and showcase their talent. It also gives families, friends and soccer fans the chance to experience great competition and celebrate these great athletes.”
