Minnesota United will play its first game in the MLS Cup Playoffs on Sunday, hosting the LA Galaxy at Allianz Field. It will be a tall order for the Loons as they face off against the Galaxy, who have won the title a record five times. LA’s leading scorer, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, enters the game on a five-game scoring streak, but he was kept off the board in the last visit to Minnesota and the Loons will want to keep it that way on Sunday. MNUFC has been nearly perfect at home this season, and will need that home-field advantage in this crucial playoff fixture. The multi-threat Loon attack will be vital to breaking down the Galaxy defense, who also ended the regular season on a loss, falling 4-2 on the road against the Houston Dynamo.

Minnesota United kicks off against the Los Angeles Galaxy this Sunday in the first ever MLS playoff matchup in franchise history, all at Allianz Field. Pre-Game Party
Get to the stadium early for the biggest pregame party we've ever had on the Great Lawn. You won’t need a ticket to enjoy the festivities on the north side of the stadium and the party gets started at 4:00 p.m. DJ Matty Matt will be performing on the Target boombox, followed by a special live performance by Shredders (P.O.S., Sims and Lazerbeak of DOOMTREE). Get some grub from local food trucks including MyBurger and Fare Well and there’ll also be beer tents, giveaways and fun photo opportunities at booths from partners like Cub, Star Tribune and Element Electronics. Check out live ice sculpting and take your picture next to the MNUFC ice sculpture, created in partnership with Minnesota Ice.

Full-Stadium Giveaways
Everyone entering the stadium will receive a playoff rally towel and light-up wrist band, which will be part of several activations throughout the game as well as a halftime light show.

In-Stadium Experience
You won't want to miss the player procession and on-field presentation building into kickoff. Your wristband will be integrated into the show and there will be a joint color guard and a national anthem performance by Minnesota Opera performer, Lisa Marie Rogali. At halftime, there will be a full stadium light show happening a couple of minutes after the halftime whistle, again featuring the light-up wristbands. So sit tight, at least for a few minutes!

Food Trucks
Starting at 4:00 p.m., there will be food trucks available outside of the stadium for those fans looking to grab something to eat before heading into Allianz Field. Food trucks slated to join us include: My Burger and Fare Well.
