Game Central

Minnesota United breaks up a pair of league games at home with an international friendly meeting with Hertha Berlin of the German Bundesliga. Nicknamed Die Alte Dame, or The Old Lady in English, Hertha wrapped up its season in the German top flight last Saturday, suffering a 5-1 loss to Bayer Leverkusen at home to finish 11th in the league. The 127-year-old club has spent the last six seasons in the Bundesliga and has two league championships in its history, claiming back-to-back titles in 1930 and 1931. Hertha is in a transition period following this 2018-19 season as head coach Pal Dardai leaves the club following five seasons at the helm and over 20 years as a member of the club. U23 Coach Ante Covic will take over the managerial role.
