Minnesota United announced today that forward Marcus Caldeira will join the Canadian National Team ahead of its match against the United States tomorrow, Oct. 6 at Allianz Field in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This is Caldeira’s first international call up to Canada’s senior team.Â
Caldeira made his MLS and MNUFC debut on May 23 against Real Salt Lake, and since then, has scored five goals and recorded three assists in 11 appearances for the Loons across all competitions during the 2026 season. Prior to debuting with the First Team, Caldeira scored a professional career-high of 10 goals with MNUFC2 in 16 appearances, which includes a team record of two hat tricks.Â
Canada faces USMNT tomorrow, Oct. 6 at 7:00 p.m. CT at Allianz Field. The matchup will be the first time the two teams face each other in Saint Paul. Canada has won its last two friendlies in shutout fashion, defeating Chile 1-0 on Sept. 26 and Peru 2-0 on Oct. 3.
