Career Summary

ACQUIRED: Selected 7th overall in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft

Toye was selected seventh overall by MNUFC in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft from Indiana University. The Generation adidas forward earned tremendous accolades during his freshman year with the Hoosiers, leading the Big Ten with 10 goals on the season — including five game-winners — and adding a pair of assists to win Big Ten Freshman of the Year, first-team All-Big Ten, Big Ten All-Freshman Team and first-team United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region accolades. His efforts put Indiana in the 2017 NCAA National Championship final, where it fell 1-0 to Stanford in double overtime.

Before college, Toye was named first-team All-America by USA Today and New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year, in addition to being named to the U.S. under-19 national team and training with the U20s in London. He played his high school soccer at Seton Hall Prep in West Orange, New Jersey, leading the side to its first North Jersey, Non-Public A title since 2009.
