Throughout the month of May, Minnesota United hosted a number of wonderful events to support and give back to the Twin Cities community. In order to help keep you updated, we've listed some of our highlights from the past month.
Minnesota Lottery and Tree Trust – Planting at Valley Park
On May 8, front office staff members teamed up with Minnesota Lottery and Tree Trust to plant 40 new trees in Valley Park in Hopkins, Minnesota.
Northern Lights Training Session at NSC
On May 9, Minnesota United invited kids and teachers from the St. Paul School of Northern Lights to watch training. Their teacher Tim O’Neil is a Season Ticket Member and was our SeatGeek fan of the game for our match against Sporting KC. The kids were sent home with autographs, pictures, and great memories.
Miguel Tapias visits Consulado de México en St. Paul
Miguel Tapias visited the Cesar Chavez Academy for the Consulate of Mexico in St. Paul's Binational Sports Week. Micky stopped by the school to speak with students about his career, field questions, and for plenty of photo ops.
Meet Our 2024 Unified Team!
On May 20, the Minnesota United FC Unified team held their official signing day at the National Sports Center, as well as their first training session of the year and photoshoot for their headshots!
Attending The ACES Gala
On May 23, Michael Boxall, Robin Lod and Minnesota United FC front office staff gathered to celebrate All-Star night and 30 years of ACES.
Mental Health Awareness Auction with NAMI Minnesota
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Minnesota United FC auctioned DJ Taylor, Tani Oluwaseyi, Sang-Bin Jeong, Wil Trapp, and Joseph Rosales game-worn jerseys, with proceeds going to NAMI Minnesota.
BCBS Community Clinic with Karen FA
On May 28, we held a Blue Cross Blue Shield Community Clinic, with our community partner Karen Football Association.
Unified Team Festivities with Sporting Kansas City
Sporting Kansas City’s Unified team came into town to play the MNUFC Unified team, and on May 31, the two squads had dinner together. After the meal, both teams were provided wristbands to Nickelodeon Universe thanks to our friends at Mall of America.
