Minnesota United today announced it has declined the contract options for Rasmus Schuller, Collin Martin, Carter Manley, Wilfried Moimbé-Tahrat and Ally Hamis Ng’anzi upon the conclusion of the 2019 Major League Soccer season.

Rasmus Schuller signed with MNUFC ahead of the Loons’ inaugural season. Schuller is an active member of the Finland national team and joined the Loons after playing in the top leagues of his home country and Sweden. Though he primarily plays in a more defensive role in the midfield, Schuller is not afraid to make forays into the opposing penalty area. He has a deft touch that has allowed him to net several spectacular goals during his career so far. As a Loon, Schuller played a total 3,795 minutes, starting 44 out of 53 games, with one goal and four assists.

Another member of the Loons’ inaugural season, creative midfielder Collin Martin joined MNUFC via trade with D.C. United in January of 2017. Martin made seven starts and 11 appearances in that inaugural season and played a total 26 games for Minnesota United. He has represented the United States at U14, U15 and U17 levels and was the only high-school junior to train with the U20 squad in January 2012.

Carter Manley was selected 23rd overall by Minnesota United in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft from Duke University. He made his professional debut on March 24, 2018 at New York Red Bulls. In his two seasons with MNUFC, Manley played 592 minutes across nine games.

Left back Wilfried Moimbé-Tahrat joined the Loons in July of the 2019 season. Predominantly playing as a backup, Moimbe-Tahrat started in three games in 2019 including the 2-0 win over LAFC at Banc of California Stadium on September 2.

Ally Hamis Ng’anzi is a box-to-box midfielder with three years of international experience despite only being 19. During the 2019, Ng’anzi spent the season on loan with USL affiliate Forward Madison FC.

Look for future roster decisions to come later on this offseason.
