Minnesota United continues its home stand on Sunday when it welcomes I-35 rivals Sporting Kansas City to town. The two team met four times last season, with each match becoming a gritty, physical affair. Western Conference leader Sporting KC has been in good form recently, with just one loss in its past five matches, and has not conceded a goal in over 200 minutes of play. Sporting will be a tough unit to crack as the Loons try to get back in the win column after a tough loss last week to San Jose. Minnesota’s attacking four of Christian Ramirez, Miguel Ibarra, Darwin Quintero and Alexi Gomez have showed promise over the past few matches and will have to get creative to beat this Sporting side.
