Know Before You Go: MNUFC2 vs. North Texas

Matchday 13: MNUFC2 vs. North Texas | #MINvNTX
Date: Sunday, June 9, 2024
Kickoff: 7:00 p.m. CT
Location: National Sports Center

Game Central

Both MNUFC2 and Sporting KC II saw themselves in the lead at different points in last weekend's exciting match, and it went to the final whistle. Unfortunately, the visitors were on top in the end, sneaking out with the win via a stoppage time goal that left MNUFC2 no time to respond. Despite the loss, the Loons showed a lot of grit and further proved the concept of the Pro Player Pathway, with academy product Kage Romanshyn getting his first goal of the season and homegrown signing Patrick Weah scoring his seventh of the season. Now, the Loons turn their attention to North Texas. Sunday's squad will look a little different than usual, as the absence of nine first-team players will give a handful of Twosies the chance to join the top squad against FC Dallas on Saturday. The domino effect of this shift means that many Academy talents will get the chance to test themselves at the MLS NEXT Pro level. It will be a tough test against a top team in the west, but a great opportunity for many young players. Come see if the Twos can bounce back with a win this Sunday; get your tickets today at Can't make it to NSC? No problem; you can stream the game for FREE on to catch all of the action.
