Amarilla Named to MLS Team of the Week

Minnesota United's own Luis Amarilla has been selected for Major League Soccer's Team of the Week for match week number 23. This honor comes off of the back of Minnesota United's battle with Portland in an action-packed 4-4 draw at Allianz Field.

Of MNUFC's four goals, Amarilla had a direct hand in three of them, accumulating two goals and one assist across the full 90 minutes. He assisted the first, scored the third, and found the equalizer for the Loons in the 69th minute. All-in-all, not a bad day at the office for Minnesota United's number nine.

Amarilla now has seven goals and three assists on the season, with six goal involvements in his last five games. This is a man on a mission, and he appears to be finding his form just in time to finish the season strong, pun intended.

This weeks inclusion in the TOTW marks Amarilla's first time this season, but form like this suggests that it might not be his last.
