With the MLS Cup Playoffs guaranteed, Minnesota United will try to lock up a home game in the first round when it takes on LAFC on Sunday. The recent Supporters’ Shield winners come into Sunday’s clash with just one win in their last six games, which includes a home loss to the Loons. Minnesota will be riding high after jumping up to second in the West, but will need momentum in the final weeks to perform in the postseason. Getting a second win against the league leaders would certainly help that, and put the team in the conversation of title contenders. Multiple threats on LAFC’s attack, including a healthy Carlos Vela, will keep the Minnesota defenders busy on Sunday as they try to keep the unbeaten streak at Allianz Field alive.

The 2019 season has been a special one, with the opening of Allianz Field, a deep run in the U.S. Open Cup and playoffs yet to come, and the MNUFC faithful have been there every step of the way as the Loons have sold out every single home game this season. The first 15,000 fans in the building will receive a free Element Electronics beanie and fans outside the stadium will have a chance to spin the wheel for prizes on the Great Lawn. Play lawn games with Michelob Golden Light in the Beer Garden or join us for a pre-game concert with Rhymesayers.

Food Trucks
Starting at 4:00 p.m., there will be food trucks available outside of the stadium for those fans looking to grab something to eat before heading into Allianz Field. Food trucks slated to join us include: My Burger, Los Ocampo, West Indies Soul Food and Taqueria Los Paisanos.

Transportation
We’ve got great guides on transit options, the quickest routes and the best parking at Allianz Field. Take the time to review your route and plan to leave early to take the stress out of your gameday commute.

Eastbound I-94 will be closed between Highway 280 and Western Avenue beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 through 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30. with crews closing all eastbound I-94 ramps between Highway 280 and Western Avenue at 9 p.m., one hour prior to the full closure.

The detour for eastbound I-94 traffic will direct motorists north on Highway 280, east on Highway 36 and south on I-35E. Westbound I-94 will remain open.
