Minnesota United will play its long-anticipated first game at Allianz Field on Saturday. After claiming three wins in their first five road games, the Loons enter their new home to face struggling New York City FC. With four draws and a loss to start the year, NYCFC is struggling in the post-David Villa era. Since losing to the Loons in September of last year, NYCFC has won just two of their last 11 games. The Loons will look to continue their dominant home form from last year and will want to perform well for the hometown supporters, who will do their part to make their new stadium a difficult place for visiting teams to play. The inaugural game at Allianz Field will be historic day, and MNUFC will be highly motivated to christen the stadium with three points.
