Minnesota United completed its inaugural MLS season being downed at the death at Avaya Stadium, losing 3-2 on a stoppage time goal by Marco Urena. Now the club returns to kick start its 2018 campaign with a shot at revenge against the Quakes. Since their defeat in the knockout round of the MLS Cup Playoffs, the Quakes have gone into rebuilding mode, improving on their porous defense from last season. The Loons have done much of the same, building around a solid core of returning players while adding supporting players to bolster the squad's depth. All eyes are on the striking duo of Christian Ramirez and Abu Danladi as they look to continue their strong form from the club’s inaugural season and lead the Loons toward the postseason.
