JVenegas CRC vs USA

UPDATE: Costa Rica vs. Honduras was rescheduled to October 7 due to Tropical Storm Nate.

With World Cup qualifying and international friendlies surrounding Minnesota United’s match this weekend, see how you can watch all your favorite Loons and the U.S. national team.

Friday, October 6

USA vs. Panama | 6:00 p.m. CT | ESPN2
What’s at stake: It’s do or die time for the U.S. The Yanks currently sit in the intercontinental playoff spot, just one point behind third-place Panama. It’s within the realm of possibility that the U.S. could climb as high as second, but realistically could claim the third and final automatic qualification spot. To do so, they will need to take advantage of being at home and leapfrog past Panama.

Mexico vs. Trinidad & Tobago | 8:15 p.m. CT | Fox Sports 1
What’s at stake: The Soca Warriors have been teetering on the edge of elimination for a while now, but it may become reality at Azteca. Mexico has already qualified for the World Cup, but hasn’t locked up that #1 spot, which could affect their group placement in Russia. El Tri won’t be holding back in front of their home fans when Kevin Molino’s team comes to town.

Saturday, October 7

Costa Rica vs. Honduras | 5:00 p.m. CT | beIN SPORTS en Espanol
What’s at stake: The Ticos are already guaranteed at least a spot in the intercontinental playoff, but they just need one point to secure automatic qualification. Francisco Calvo, Johan Venegas and company will have a golden opportunity to punch their tickets to Russia in front of their home fans against a Honduras team that is struggling to stay in the hunt.

Tuesday, October 10

Panama vs. Costa Rica | 7:00 p.m. CT | Telemundo Deportes
What’s at stake: Depending on previous results, Costa Rica could already be planning their summer on the Volga river. But if for some reason the Ticos failed to claim a point against Honduras and don’t get any help from the field, they may be in need of a point here tonight. It’s very likely that they will get a chance to “play the kids” against Panama if they have the #2 spot locked up.

Trinidad & Tobago vs. USA | 7:00 p.m. CT | beIN SPORTS
What’s at stake: It will likely all be over for Trinidad and Tobago at this stage of qualifying. The U.S. hammered the island nation in the previous meeting and will need to get another win to guarantee qualification and not rely on Costa Rica’s result. Molino will have to lead his team by example and be the catalyst on offense if he hopes to play spoiler for the U.S.

Michael Boxall (New Zealand) and Jermaine Taylor (Jamaica) will also be in action, but their matches will not be broadcast in the U.S.
