MNUFC defender Francisco Calvo is off to a great start in the 2017 Gold Cup. He went the full 90 minutes in the Tico's win over Honduras last Friday, and last night he got on the scoresheet to claim a 1-1 draw against Canada.
After going down early, Costa Rica earned a corner late in the first half. David Guzman swung the ball toward the top of the box, where Calvo charged in to head home the tying goal.
Calvo and the Ticos are back in action on Friday, July 13 at 6:30 p.m. CT against French Guiana.
