Minnesota United returns to TCF Bank Stadium to host perennial MLS Cup contenders LA Galaxy. Minnesota has created a winning atmosphere at home, winning three of its last four matches at TCF Bank Stadium including two clean sheets. LA has started to find its footing after a lackluster start to the season, evidenced by its 3-1 win over New York Red Bulls last weekend. This will be the second match of a four-match road trip that has the Galaxy hopping from coast-to-coast. The Loons will look to take advantage of the travel-burdened LA side, and will need to stop leading scorer Romain Alessandrini to do so. Minnesota’s attackers have found their scoring touch again as of late, and need to keep the goals coming on Sunday.
Gate A
The University is performing routine maintenance on the exterior brick facade of TCF Bank Stadium near Gate A. They anticipate that work will be completed and the gate re-opened for events by August 1. This means that fans will need to use Gates C, D or E and enter the building on the south side of the stadium.
