Minnesota United midfielder Miguel Ibarra and goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth earned MLS Team of the Week honors for Week 10 following the team’s 2-0 win over Sporting KC.
Ibarra had an excellent performance out on the left flank for the Loons on Sunday, earning a spot in the midfield on the Team of the Week. He placed two perfect crosses in the opening half to assist both Abu Danladi and Christian Ramirez in beating the Sporting KC goalkeeper. It was Ibarra’s first multi-assist performance, and his second time on the scoresheet in three weeks.
Making his second appearance on the Team of the Week bench in three weeks, Shuttleworth was stellar in goal for the Loons. He made seven stops, breaking the club single-match save record he established against the San Jose Earthquakes last week, and earned his second clean sheet of the season. He also did all of this after suffering a broken nose in the second half.
