SeniorThe 27-year-old American goalkeeper was added to Minnesota United’s squad after the club acquired him from Charlotte FC in exchange for General Allocation Money (GAM).
Callender joins the Loons after finishing the 2025 MLS season with Charlotte FC. Prior to his time in Charlotte, the goalkeeper spent several seasons with Inter Miami CF, where he made 118 appearances across all competitions and recorded 19 clean sheets, competing in MLS, the Concacaf Champions Cup, the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, and Leagues Cup. During his time in South Florida, Callender helped Inter Miami capture the 2023 Leagues Cup title and the 2024 Supporters’ Shield, establishing himself as a consistent presence between the posts.
Callender’s professional career includes several notable individual and team achievements. During the 2023 Leagues Cup, he played a pivotal role in the final by scoring a penalty kick and saving two attempts during the penalty shootout, earning Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament and Man of the Match honors. He was also named a finalist for the 2022 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year award, highlighting his standing among the league’s top goalkeepers.
INTERNATIONAL: Internationally, Callender has represented the United States, earning call-ups and roster selections in both 2023 and 2024 for the Concacaf Nations League semifinal and final matches, but has yet to make a national team debut.
