USWNT World Cup Watch Parties on the Way

USWNT

The Women’s World Cup is coming up quick! On July 20, the opening game between New Zealand and Norway will kick off this year’s edition of the greatest tournament in sports. The Stars and Stripes are hoping to complete the three-peat this year and win their fifth title, but it’s not going to be easy.

The USWNT start their journey on July 21, and we’ll be watching at Allianz Field. In fact, MNUFC will be hosting watch parties for their first two group-stage matches. On Friday, July 21, and Wednesday, July 26, at 6:30 p.m., we’ll be opening up the Grand Casino Brew Hall and the North Concourse to cheer on the USA as they take on Vietnam and the Netherlands. Both games kick off at 8:00 p.m., with the stadium closing 30 minutes after the final whistle blows.

As an added treat for the July 26 game, our friends at Target will be pulling out all the stops to help get fans in the spirit. Special features courtesy of Target will include:

  • Free ice cream sundae station
  • Free snacks: popcorn, churros, theatre candy, and pretzels
  • Free drinks: fountain sodas, water, and kiddie cocktails
  • Free prizes and giveaways: scarves, sunglasses, headbands, and more
  • Photo ops: Bullseye bobblehead, 360 Photo Experience
  • Fun and games: Soccer Ball DJ Booth, Claw Machine, Giant Jenga

Parking lots surrounding the stadium will be open for free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend lots B, C, and the North Lot.

There’s a whole month of international soccer ahead of us; follow along and keep your eyes peeled for more chances to watch the tournament with your fellow Loons. To help us better plan our staffing and set-up for these Watch Parties, please RSVP today if you’d like to attend!
