Reynoso Earns Team of the Matchday Honors

Saturday’s match against Real Salt Lake saw the first start of the season from our resident Argentine playmaker, Emanuel Reynoso — a true difference-maker whose attacking prowess helped the Loons notch two goals and pick up a point on the road.

Head Coach Adrian Heath knows that he can rely on Reynoso to whip up dangerous plays every time he steps on the pitch. “Every time he got the ball, he created something. Every time he got in space, he looked like he would find the pass. I thought some of his touches and movements are as we expect from Rey.”

Beyond his ability to create opportunities, Reynoso has a knack for finding the net himself – as demonstrated by his goal in the 39th minute. Rey was able to open himself up to be on the receiving end of a dime from Sang Bin Jeong and put it past the RSL keeper Zac MacMath.

With the skill set that Reynoso brings to the table, it's only fitting that his first start of the season would also lead to his first 2023 Team of the Matchday nod.
