As the 2019 MLS season comes to close, don’t miss your chance to participate in the final two Minnesota United Pro Player Clinics of the year. Hassani Dotson, Chase Gasper and Dayne St. Clair – three standout MNUFC rookies – will be featured in the two remaining Pro Player clinics. Join either Hassani Dotson on September 17 or the duo of Chase Gasper and Dayne St. Clair on September 24 in the last Pro-Player Clinic of 2019.
MNUFC Pro Player Clinic Series Details
The Minnesota United Pro Player Clinic program is designed so that youth soccer players can maximize their soccer experience in a unique environment by giving each player the chance to interact with an MNUFC player. All participants will develop a true passion for MNUFC and the game of soccer. The innovative “Play the Minnesota United Way” curriculum includes fundamental activities that move to small-sided games where players are encouraged to use the new skills they have learned.
The Pro Player Clinic Series focuses on two crucial areas of youth soccer development: physical awareness and ball mastery. Players improve their physical awareness by participating in activities that revolve around physical literacy such as agility, balance and coordination. The small-sided games are a great example of this as they are designed to promote safe and healthy competition. Players also bolster their technical skills and master on-ball skills by learning different dribbling and turning techniques, passing techniques, ball receiving techniques and shooting techniques that can be utilized in future competition.
Sessions are structured for a one-day, two-hour clinic in which players will be grouped by age and ability. Each session consists of multiple activities including scheduled breaks for all participants. Players will interact with the featured MNUFC player during the activities that take place in the session. Upon conclusion of each training session, players have the chance to participate in an autograph/picture session as well as a Q&A session with the MNUFC player.
