The Loons’ newest kit drops at 8 a.m. CT on February 10, just in time for Minnesota United’s 10th season in Major League Soccer. Mark your calendars, cue chorus of trumpets and ethereal music, so on and so forth — it’s almost here, and it’s so cool. (I’ve seen it, and I’ve signed a 68-page NDA\, so all I can say is so cool* on loop.)
With the help of our friends at Target, we’re making a whole day of this milestone kit launch! Join us (and PK) at the Black and Blue Team Store from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for free coffee and donuts and the first in-person look at the new threads. The authentic jerseys sold through the Team Store only will feature a special jersey patch worn by the players on the field! Plus, the first 500 fans to purchase an authentic jersey will get a commemorative poster.
In addition to the usual online shopping options of MLSStore.com and adidas.com, we also have one new purchase option for this season! To make sure all of our fans have a safe shopping method, we're able to briefly offer local delivery out of the Team Store. On February 10 and 11 only, fans can purchase from the Team Store directly via an online shopping link and get the new jersey sent straight to their door. (Or P.O. box, or package office, or treehouse — you get the picture.)
We know this is already shaping up to be the best day of the dreary winter, but we’re making it even better. A portion of all jersey sales during the month of February will be donated to the OneMPLS Fund at the Minneapolis Foundation. This fund is dedicated to responding to the urgent needs of the Minneapolis community and is currently focused on distributing to local organizations providing food and housing for individuals and families impacted by recent events.
Not that it’s a competition, but if we were ranking every kit ever worn by a Loon, I think this new one takes the cake. While you anxiously await the new jersey drop, check out this look back through every season of Minnesota United’s kits, so you can be wholeheartedly ready to agree with me.
