It’s a new year, it’s a new season, and MNUFC Power Soccer is back and better than ever.

The Power Soccer program, started in partnership with Allina Health in 2022, has since grown to encompass a first team and an Academy team, consisting of both boys and girls who take to the court four at a time to play the beautiful game.

Both teams are set to play at the first annual MNUFC Power Soccer Invitational on January 31, which marks the start of official competition for the 2026 season and will contribute to qualification for the year’s nationals. Running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Brooklyn Center High School, the day will feature a round-robin style tournament with four to six teams, including Minnesota Northern Lights and Minnesota Shockwave. The event will be run by Allina Health’s Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, a great organization that provides rehabilitative services to children and adults who have sustained injuries or are living with disabilities.

The day's festivities will include appearances from special MNUFC guests, including fan-favorite mascot PK and games and giveaways from the MNUFC event marketing team. All are welcome and encouraged to attend, from avid supporters to first-time Power Soccer fans, and create a great environment for our players to kick off their season.
