The Loons fell behind early in this one when Crew SC was awarded a penalty kick in the ninth minute of the match. Owen Presthus scored the goal and Rashad Suhaiba doubled the lead off a through ball he took around the keeper in the 22nd minute. Right out of the restart following halftime, Crew SC’s Landon Hill bumped it to 3-0 with a strike from the right side after beating his defender. Micah Burton notched a consolation goal on a penalty kick in the 69th minute but the Loons couldn’t spark a comeback and fell 3-1 in the end.

MNUFC U13 vs. Internationals U13
The U13s fared much better on Sunday against Internationals, getting off to a 2-0 lead by halftime on the back of goals by Micah Burton and Jarod Timlin in the 19th and 29th minutes, respectively. That lead ballooned in the second half as Burton scored again in the 48th minute and the floodgates opened as MNUFC scored in the 60th, 62nd and 64th minutes to put the match well out of reach at 6-0.

Crew SC’s U14 team jumped in front in the first half on a goal by Preston Welch in the 28th minute, but MNUFC answered before the half on a penalty kick drilled home by Jacob Thao in the 38th minute. Crew SC got a penalty kick of their own after Quinton Elliot went down in the box and it was Welch who pulled the visitors in front. Joe Highfield would manage the equalizing goal for the Loons in the 80th minute and the match would end in a 2-2 draw.
