Robin Lod landed in the starting eleven along with Emanuel Reynoso on the bench on Major League's Soccer Team of the Week for week seven after defeating Colorado Rapids in a 3-1 win at home.

After an undefeated four-game stretch to start the season, Minnesota United entered Saturday’s match on a bit of mini-skid, having lost consecutive games to Seattle and Austin. This was more than enough motivation for the Loons to turn on their gears and get three points at home.

Robin Lod hadn’t found the back of the net since opening day, but it was worth the wait. The Finnish international found himself not only notching one for the Loons, but assisting one as well. In the 77th minute, Lod received a crosser from Dotson and rocketed the ball to the bottom right corner of the net, giving the Loons a 2-1 lead. That goal appeared to open the floodgates for the offense, as two minutes later, Lod found himself at the top of the 18 and passed the ball to teammate Abu Danladi, who took a quick touch and slotted the Loons third goal past goalkeeper William Yarbrough.

Reynoso was another key playmaker throughout the match, participating in every goal for the Loons. In the 42nd minute, he took on Colorado defender Mark-Anthony Kaye and delivered a beautiful cross to Bakaye Dibassy who headered the ball into the goal and gave the Loons the early 1-0 lead. In addition, in the 77th minute, the Argentine allowed Hassani Dotson to overlap him and awarded him with a pass which he was able to center for Lod to find the back of the net. In the 79th minute, Reynoso found Lod on the top of the 18, who provided Danladi with the assist and secured the Loons third and final goal of the match.
