Boxall and St. Clair Called Into International Duty

Minnesota United defender Michael Boxall and Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair have been called up for national team duty for the New Zealand and Canada Men’s National Teams. 

Boxall will join New Zealand on their Tokyo 2020 Olympic journey. New Zealand, who has not played an international game since late 2019, play in Group B against Korea Republic, Honduras and Romania. Their first match will be against Korea on Thursday, July 22 at 3:30 a.m. CT. The group stage concludes July 28 with the Quarterfinals on July 31, Semifinals on August 3 and the medal matches on August 6 and 7. Boxall has over 30 appearances for the New Zealand national team since making his debut in 2011. He has featured in World Cup Qualifying and the 2017 Confederations Cup.

St. Clair rejoins the Canada National Team for the Concacaf Gold Cup, starting on Sunday, July 11 at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City against Martinique at 5:30 p.m. CT. The group stage concludes Tuesday, July 20, Quarterfinals on July 24 and 25, Semifinals on July 29 and the Final on August 1. St. Clair made his senior national team debut earlier this month in World Cup Qualifiers with a 7-0 shutout win over Aruba.
