Gaffer’s Quote

Adrian Heath on getting some depth into the squad: “Looking at the substitutes bench, with eight or nine players for the seven spots — we haven’t had that all season. You know, we’re having to leave people off the bench. So that’s nice to have. I want to keep reiterating to our supporters: Do I think we’ve gotten better? Yes. Do I think we’re anywhere where we need to be? No. We know we’ve got an awful lot of work to do. On and off the field. But we are getting there.”

Marquee Matchups

  • Marc Burch vs. Michael Barrios: Burch returned from injury last week and went the full 90 against Montreal, although he felt like he was holding back in certain ways to make sure he could fulfill his defensive duties for the whole match. Look for him to try to get forward more, but he’ll also have his hands full wrangling FC Dallas’ assist leader, Michael Barrios, down the Loons’ own left wing.
  • Walker Zimmerman vs. MNUFC forwards: With FC Dallas defender Matt Hedges facing suspension this week for yellow card accumulation, Walker Zimmerman will have his hands full putting the brakes red hot strikers. Both Christian Ramirez and Abu Danladi scored big goals against the Impact last week.
