United in Community: Hispanic Heritage

The Twin Cities aren’t the Twin Cities without their rich cultural tapestry and the celebration of diversity and togetherness. From the support of small businesses to social justice awareness, we’re happy to support the Hispanic and Latinx community during Hispanic Heritage Month and every month!

As one of MNUFC’s initiatives supporting this celebration, the MNUFC vs. Chicago Fire match, presented by Xcel Energy, on September 20 is Hispanic Heritage Night! Kickoff at Allianz Field is slated for 7:30 p.m., and the game will feature a new installation in the 2025 Artist Collection.

As part of our growing collection by local artists, we’re excited to introduce designs by Charlie Garcia! Charlie’s murals, design work, and photography explore urban life, identity, and social justice through the lens of his Indigenous heritage, addressing issues like the criminalization of immigrants and Indigenous peoples. He founded Intertribal Styles BIPOC Graffiti Jam as an advocate of using art for self-expression and resistance. Charlie’s limited-edition work will launch in conjunction with the September 20 Hispanic Heritage Game, available at the Black and Blue Team Store. Check back soon to see the collection!

When you grab your swag from the Black and Blue Team Store throughout the month of September, you can round up to the nearest dollar to donate your change to CLUES, whose work advances social and economic equity and wellbeing for Latinos by building upon strengths and cultures, uplifting community, and enabling leadership for systemic change. IKEA will match fan donations!
