Women’s History Month & International Women’s Day

Women's Month

It’s March! That means it’s Women’s History Month and we’ll be celebrating all month long. If you’re on this page, you’ve found the MNUFC hub for all things Women’s History Month.

Women's History Month highlights the often-overlooked contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society.

Here’s what we’ll be up to this month and how you can join in on our celebrations.

Feminine Care Supply Drive at the Black and Blue Team Store at Allianz Field

We’re hosting a Feminine Care Supply Drive at Allianz Field with proceeds benefitting women’s shelters in Saint Paul that support victims and survivors of domestic abuse while working toward a community free from violence. The drive kicks off on Wednesday, March 10 and will run until Saturday, March 13, during store hours (noon-6:00 p.m. CT). There will be bins inside the Black and Blue Team Store for you to drop supplies off and those donating will receive 10 percent off on their purchases in the store.

Register Round-Up at the Black and Blue Team Store at Allianz Field

We will be running a Register Round-Up program in the Black and Blue Team Store with proceeds benefitting Women’s Initiative for Self Empowerment (WISE). Located in the Midway neighborhood, WISE’s mission is to empower immigrant and refugee women and girls to succeed through advocacy and culturally competent services.

International Women’s Day

While March is Women’s History Month, it’s also the month we celebrate International Women’s Day. International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

The campaign theme for International Women's Day 2021 is 'Choose To Challenge'. A challenged world is an alert world. And from challenge comes change. So let's all #ChooseToChallenge.
