The final week of the regular season provided a chance for players to step up and secure their teams’ spots in the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs, and for their parts in Minnesota United’s authoritative 3-0 win over FC Dallas, Emanuel Reynoso and Kevin Molino have been named to the MLS Team of the Week, presented by Audi, for Week 24.
This is Reynoso’s first appearance in the Team of the Week. He returned to the starting XI against the Toros and masterfully controlled the midfield, contributing two assists on goals by Kevin Molino as well as scoring his first MLS goal in the 47th minute. Robin Lod found the Argentine at the top of the box and he drilled the shot past the Dallas goalkeeper with his favored left foot.
Molino makes his fifth appearance in the Team of the Week in 2020, having previously been named in the Weeks 1, 10 and 11 (bench), and in the first round of the Group Stage of the MLS Is Back Tournament. Playing on the left wing, Molino scored twice — opening the scoring in the 17th minute off a turnover in Dallas’ half and again in the 79th minute to ice the game — and contributed to Reynoso’s goal.
