Ethan Finlay, Dayne St. Clair Featured in Team of the Week

Ethan Finlay Team of the Week

For his first half brace against Houston Dynamo, Minnesota United’s Ethan Finlay has been named to the MLS Team of the Week, presented by Audi. Joining him on the bench is goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair, who capped off a run of 349 scoreless minutes — the longest run without a goal against in the club’s MLS tenure — with six saves in the 2-2 draw at Allianz Field on Sunday night.

This is the third time Finlay has been named to the Team of the Week. He featured following Minnesota’s victory over Portland Timbers in Week 1 and after another 2-2 draw, this one against Colorado Rapids in the third game of the Group Stage of the MLS Is Back Tournament.

After an excellent start to his 2020 campaign, Finlay was sidelined by an injury for more than a month, returning to action with a full 90 against Nashville SC on October 6. Against Houston, Finlay was a deadly threat down the right wing, cutting through the Dynamo’s backline and into the box for two shots, both of which were on target and both of which resulted in goals.
