Clear Bag Policy

Clear Bag

On Sunday, October 21, Minnesota United will close out its two-year stint at TCF Bank Stadium with the final home game of the 2018 season against the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy, presented by Star Tribune, in front of 50,000 fans. It's exciting, but it also means that there will be 50,000 people trying to get into the stadium around the same time.

One of the biggest complaints we get on matchday is about the clear bag policy, and we hear you. We know it's inconvenient. But the clear bag policy serves two key purposes: it ensures better safety at the stadium on matchday and it streamlines the arrival process. Please help us spread the word, because if you bring a bag that doesn't follow the clear bag rules, you'll have to check it and that's even less convenient.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Fans are allowed one clear bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" or a one-gallon clear freezer bag (Ziploc or similar).
  • Guests may carry a small clutch bag or purse no larger than 6.5" x 4.5" (approximately the size of a hand), with or without a strap.

For your convenience, there will be a bag check located at Williams Arena across Oak Street from the west end of the stadium (there is a fee for each bag). And remember to arrive early at the stadium. We advise a 3:30 p.m. arrival for the 4:00 p.m. kickoff. That should allow you plenty of time to get into the stadium and get settled into your seat.

Stay late after the game to watch a fireworks show and a special presentation of Minnesota United’s new home, Allianz Field, on the big board, plus a performance by Minnesota’s own Har Mar Superstar on the West Plaza.

For those who can’t make it to the stadium, the game will be nationally broadcast on ESPN and there will be a comprehensive event stream on MNUFC.COM of all the postgame festivities.
