In their most recent match, the Loons continued their winning ways on the road against Atlanta United. Goals from Kervin Arriaga in the 54th minute and Tani Oluwaseyi in the 60th were enough for the win, securing second-place in the Western Conference standings for MNUFC. For their next challenge, the Loons return to St. Paul to take on a resurgent LA Galaxy side. Currently sitting in third place with an identical 20 points to their name, the Galaxy seem to have rediscovered some of their lost luster. With two games in hand and eight fewer goals against for the Loons, Minnesota has the edge on the Galaxy at the moment. Despite a leaky defense, LA's production up top has kept them in practically every game they've played this season. The Boys in Black and Blue will need to lock things down in the back while continuing to find scoring successes of their own to make sure their fans can sing their favorite song on Wednesday night. In-Game Honors
The pregame ceremony will include a national anthem performance by Laura Perkins. Zack Woller will also be recognized as our SeatGeek Fan of the Game and Dr. Daniel Hurley will be honored as the Allina Health Honorary Scoreboard Keeper for the game. Additionally, Neytiri will be honored as the Nutrisource Service Dog of the Game. At halftime, the club will honor Pahoua Yang as the L'Étoile du Nord and Marisa Brown as the Xcel Energy Eye of the Loon.
