Calvo, Shuttleworth in Week 10 Team of the Week

2018 Team of the Week Week 10

MNUFC got its second-consecutive win and, for the second-consecutive week, it has two players in the MLS Team of the Week. Defender Francisco Calvo and goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth represent the Loons in the Week 10 edition after contributing to the club’s clean sheet win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

Calvo earns his first appearance in the Team of the Week, after locking up the center of the backline en route to a 1-0 win at home. The Costa Rica international made 11 clearances, four with his feet and seven with his head, many of them during Vancouver’s late-match push for an equalizer. This is his second time earning the honor in his MLS career.

For the second week in a row, Shuttleworth holds down the goalkeeper spot in the Team of the Week. Shuttleworth made seven stops in his clean sheet win this weekend, including an acrobatic parry in the closing minutes to keep Whitecaps FC’s Brek Shea off the board.
