MNUFC To Sport Parley Jerseys This Weekend

Parley for Oceans jersey

As part of MLS’ Greener Goals initiative, Minnesota United will be wearing special Parley jerseys this weekend as they face off against Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field on Earth Day (Sunday, April 22 at 3:00 p.m. CT). The collaboration between adidas and Parley for the Oceans uses Parley Ocean Plastic — upcycled from marine plastic collected by Parley from beaches and coastal communities — to make the black and white jerseys, which will be worn by all 23 MLS teams this weekend.

The effort to raise awareness around the harmful impact of marine plastic pollution coincides with MLS’ annual Greener Goals Week of Service. Members of Minnesota United’s staff will volunteer their time and give back in partnership with local charitable organizations. Week of Service efforts and other green initiatives conducted by MLS clubs will be promoted throughout the week across social and digital channels.

Minnesota United’s next home match is on Saturday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. against Houston Dynamo. With 14,500 season ticket holders for 2018, MNUFC has started a 2019 waiting list for season tickets at Allianz Field.
