Abu Danladi Named a Finalist for AT&T Rookie of the Year

Minnesota United’s Abu Danladi is one of three finalists for the AT&T Rookie of the Year award following the conclusion of initial voting by media, players and technical staff members. Drafted with the first pick in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft, Danladi notched eight goals — including four match-winners — to lead all rookies in both categories, plus added three assists. The other AT&T Rookie of the Year finalists are Jack Elliott of the Philadelphia Union and Julian Gressel of Atlanta United.

The winner of the AT&T Rookie of the Year award will be announced on Wednesday, November 8. Abu's match-winning goal against Montreal Impact is up for AT&T Goal of the Year and you can vote for that as well as MLS Save of the Year at MLSsoccer.com or through the free MLS app from now through November 14.
