As the regular season draws to a close, award season has begun, starting with the Landon Donovan Most Valuable Player award. Three Minnesota United players have been included on the 2017 ballot: Ibson, Christian Ramirez and Bobby Shuttleworth.

The award is voted on by the players, technical staffers and select members of the media.
