Minnesota takes on its second Cascadia opponent of the week on Saturday when it welcomes Vancouver Whitecaps FC to Minneapolis. The Loons are fresh off a triumphant victory over the Portland Timbers on Wednesday, continuing its dominating performance at home. Whitecaps FC is fresh off a long home stretch, going 2-1-1 in that time and managing to stay in playoff position. Vancouver has managed a couple of wins away from BC Place, although they were against struggling Colorado and Montreal, but overall have yet to find success on the road. Minnesota is close to leapfrogging Vancouver in the standings, and another win would help its cause. MNUFC will have to keep up its offensive production to do so.
