Following a tumultuous pair of opening matches, Minnesota United is seeking redemption as it travels west to take on the Colorado Rapids. The Rapids have played a pair of close matches to open their 2017 campaign, beating New England 1-0 at home and losing 1-0 to the Red Bulls last Saturday. Colorado was the stingiest team in MLS last year, and seem to be continuing that defensive strategy, led by goalkeeper and U.S. international Tim Howard. Minnesota has shown promise going forward in the past two weeks, and will have its work cut out for it on match day. The Loons will be looking to shore up their defensive woes this week against a Rapids squad that likes to play on the counter.
