As the 2016 MLS postseason winds down, Minnesota United is preparing for its inaugural season in Major League Soccer.
In mid-October, Minnesota sporting director Manny Lagos traveled to New York for the 2017 MLS Expansion Priority Draft, deciding MNUFC offseason priority order.

The Loons chose to pick first in the MLS SuperDraft and first in the USL/NASL priority order while fellow expansion side Atlanta United chose to pick first in the MLS Expansion Draft and holds first position in the league’s Allocation Ranking Order.
MLS Offseason Calendar
Major League Soccer has announced key dates for the 2016-17 offseason, including the free agent window, Re-Entry Draft and opening date for the MLS preseason.
Minnesota United fans should record Dec. 13 on their calendar, with the 2017 Expansion Draft beginning at 4 p.m. CST. The MLS offseason continues in full throttle for the next several weeks leading to the beginning of the 2017 preseason on Jan. 23.
