MNUFC2, along with MLS NEXT Pro, announced today the schedule and matchups for Round Two of the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs: The No. 5-seeded Twos will travel to face No. 1 St. Louis CITY2 in the Western Conference Semifinals on Sunday, October 26 at Energizer Park in St. Louis, Missouri. Kick for the game is set for 5:00 p.m. CT, and Loons fans can watch MNUFC2’s Western Conference Semifinal match live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

MNUFC2 and St. Louis CITY2 clashed three times in the 2025 regular season: Minnesota narrowly fell to St. Louis 3-2 at home in May, lost on the road to the Gateway Arch side by a 4-0 result in July, then finally played to a 1-1 draw in St. Louis in September, with CITY2 taking the extra point following the 3-2 shootout from the mark.

MNUFC2 was selected by St. Louis CITY2 during the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs Pick-Your-Opponent draw that determined the Conference Semifinals matchups. In the Pick-Your-Opponent format for the Conference Semifinals, the team with the highest remaining seed in each conference selects and hosts an opponent from the two lowest seeded teams.

The Twos on Oct. 19 faced the No. 4 Real Monarchs in the Western Conference Quarterfinals, leaving the Salt Lake City side victorious by a 2-1, come-from-behind score line. First Team midfielder Alexis Fariña scored MNUFC2’s first-ever playoff goal on a penalty kick, and Twos’ midfielder Momoh Kamara notched the game-winner late in the match to help the team advance to the next round.

MNUFC2 finished the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro regular season in fifth place in the Western Conference table, holding a 12-10-6 (W-L-D) record, where they earned 44 points and also their very-first berth into the MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs.

Across all competitions for MNUFC2 this season, forward Logan Dorsey is tied as the club’s leading goalscorer with 10 tallies on the year, midfielder Curt Calov and First Team defender Kieran Chandler both lead the team in assists provided (seven), and U.S. youth international goalkeeper Kayne Rizvanovich approaches this next postseason game with eight wins inside the net.
