MNUFC2 announced today that the club has signed goalkeeper Will Pulisic to a one-year MLS NEXT Pro contract, with two club options.

“It’s exciting for us to bring in another talented goalkeeper with good experience – [Will] has been with the [United States] National Team and has already played professional games – and he adds to an already talented goalkeeper corps,” said MNUFC2 Head Coach Cameron Knowles. “We should have good competition in that position and should be really comfortable with whoever ends up playing minutes for us.”

Pulisic, a 24-year-old from Mechanicsville, Virginia, joins MNUFC2 via free transfer. The goalkeeper most recently played for North Carolina FC of USL League One while on a loan spell from Austin FC. With North Carolina FC, Pulisic made 22 game appearances, playing nearly 2,000 minutes in the net while also making 55 saves during the 2022 season. Pulisic signed with Austin FC in April of 2021 following four years at Duke University. From 2017-2020, the goalkeeper made 66 appearances in goal for the Blue Devils, starting 65 games and earning 19 shutouts. Pulisic finished his collegiate career at Duke earning All-ACC selection honors twice. While at Duke, he competed with the NCFC U23 and Colorado Rapids U23 sides.

Internationally, the 24-year-old keeper has represented the United States youth national teams at the U17 and U19 levels. Pulisic notably was a part of the USYNT squad that competed in the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile, where he started all three group-stage contests for the Stars and Stripes.
