MNUFC2 announced today roster updates following the conclusion of the 2022 MLS NEXT Pro season, the club’s inaugural season of play. To-date, the side has eight rostered players.

The following players are under contract at the start of the 2023 season: Emmanuel Iwe, Molik Jesse Khan, Juan Mosquera, Jason Ramos and Alec Smir. In addition, club options were exercised for Diogo Pacheco and CC Uche.

Sagir Arce, Ignacio Gutierrez, Nick Mendonca and Veljko Petkovic are out of contract. Tommy Williamson and MNUFC2 mutually agreed to part ways. The club extends its gratitude to these players for their contributions on and off the pitch during its inaugural season in MLS NEXT Pro and wishes the best of luck to them in the future.

The club acquired defender Geremy Rodas via loan, through July 2023, with an option to buy. Rodas joins the Loons from Lobos UPNFM of the Honduras topflight, Liga Nacional. Internationally, the 18-year-old center-back has represented Honduras at the youth level, being named to the Honduras U20 squad. Rodas has made six appearances for the U20 side, scoring one goal and providing an assist – all during the 2022 Concacaf U20 Championship – that helped propel the side into qualifying for the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia. The center-back additionally earned a call-up for friendly contests in November with the Honduras U20 National Team.
