Minnesota United FC has declined the loan option on goalkeeper John Alvbage.

Alvbage joined MNUFC on loan from IFK Goteborg on Jan. 29, 2017. He started the club's first two matches in Major League Soccer, at the Portland Timbers and against Atlanta United FC, and made his third appearance as a second-half substitute in the 2-2 draw at Houston Dynamo on April 15.

The goalkeeper's loan expired on July 23, 2017.
