MNUFC Announce Promotional Schedule for 2023 MLS Season

Minnesota United announced today the Promotional Game schedule for the club’s 2023 MLS season.

Kicking off 2023, Minnesota United will begin their new season welcoming New York Red Bulls for the 2023 Home Opener, presented by Allina Health, on Saturday, March 11. The first 15,000 fans will receive a pair of MNUFC mittens, courtesy of Allina Health. In the following month, Minnesota United will celebrate its first-ever Native American Heritage Night with a match against Orlando City on Saturday, April 15. The club’s annual Mental Health Awareness Night, presented by SeatGeek will be on Wednesday, May 17 against Houston Dynamo and Pride Night, presented by Cub, will be on Saturday, June 3 when the Loons host Toronto FC at Allianz Field for the first time. Celebrating Hispanic Heritage, presented by Federated Insurance, MNUFC host 2023 expansion side St. Louis CITY on Saturday, September 23.

NOTABLE MATCHES:

2023 Home Opener – March 11Minnesota United will celebrate the 2023 Home Opener, presented by Allina Health, in a matchup against New York Red Bulls. Allina Health is providing MNUFC mittens to the first 15,000 fans at the gates upon arrival.

Knit Hat Giveaway – March 25MNUFC will take on Vancouver Whitecaps FC in a game presented by Bell Bank. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive MNUFC knit hats courtesy of Bell Bank.

Native American Heritage – April 15
With the help from local nonprofits that serve our Indigenous Peoples community, MNUFC Minnesota United will celebrate its first-ever Native American Heritage Night with a match against Orlando City. Incorporating the song, dance, and cultural celebrations of our local tribes, the club and supporters will come together to acknowledge our history and the roots of our community.

Mental Health Awareness – May 17
A leader in this space, Minnesota United will continue the conversation on the importance of prioritizing mental health through the club’s annual Mental Health Awareness Night, presented by SeatGeek. Utilizing resources from club partners and local community groups, MNUFC will share stories and celebrate one another in this space.

Pride Night – June 3
The Loons LOVE love. Minnesota United is focusing on amplifying the rich diversity that lives within the LGBTQ+ community. The club celebrates Pride all-year long, but Pride Night, presented by Cub, is a chance to highlight, reflect and spread awareness on the mission to protect queer and trans rights. Match activations include a game-worn jersey auction and added entertainment and experiences on the Lawn Layover.

International Friendly – June 28Minnesota United will host FC Kaiserslautern of the 2 Bundesliga for an international friendly, the 13th friendly contest that MNUFC has hosted.

Salute to Freedom – July 1Minnesota United will be celebrating its Salute to Freedom Night, presented by Minnesota Lottery, as a tribute to those who have served our country. The club has several events planned throughout the day to honor active duty military members, veterans and their families.

Kick Childhood Cancer – September 16In an effort to raise awareness for pediatric cancer, Minnesota United, alongside Major League Soccer and MLS Works, will recognize Kick Childhood Cancer throughout the month of September, including the September 16 match against Sporting Kansas City, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.

Hispanic Heritage – September 23Minnesota United will once again be honoring the multitudes of cultures that live within the Hispanic community, continuing to uplift the voices of the team and Twin Cities community. The Loons will celebrate with various Spanish-speaking elements with song, dance and more. Hispanic Heritage Night is presented by Federated Insurance.

Fan Appreciation – October 7
In the final home game of the regular season, Minnesota United will celebrate those who have supported the team all season long in a dedicated theme night, sponsored by Target. The celebrations will include fan giveaways, added entertainment and experiences on the Lawn Layover, and other activities.

GROUP NIGHTS:

Minnesota United will host five group nights for the 2023 season. Tickets for all five nights start at $32 can be purchased here and come with an MNUFC-branded item and a post-game on-field experience. The 2023 Group Nights are as follows:

  • Youth Sports- Saturday, March 11 (NYRB)
  • Healthcare- Saturday, March 25 (Vancouver Whitecaps FC)
  • Educators- Saturday, April 15 (Orlando FC)
  • First Responders- Sunday, April 30 (FC Dallas)
  • Students- Wednesday, May 17 (Houston Dynamo)

LAWN LAYOVER, PRESENTED BY SUN COUNTRY:

Throughout the season, MNUFC fans and Allianz Field visitors will be invited to enjoy pregame festivities at the Lawn Layover presented by Sun Country. Lawn Layover is free to all and includes a live DJ, food trucks, MNUFC lawn games, and interactive Club partner games and giveaways. Prior to select MNUFC home games, there will be increased entertainment and interactive games to add to the Lawn Layover experience and MNUFC theme games.

Single-game tickets for the first half of the 2023 season will go on sale to the general public on February 9, with Season Ticket Members, members of The Preserve, and other club insiders receiving first access through a series of exclusive presales.

Fans wanting to lock in their tickets today can choose between our First Five or Pick 'n Pair ticket promotions. With the First Five package, fans can purchase tickets to the first five home games of the 2023 season. The Pick ‘n Pair package gives fans the opportunity to purchase four tickets for the 2023 MLS Regular Season, two of which are for the first two Loons home games of the season, with purchasers being able to select any two additional games to attend during the 2023 season.
