Minnesota United to Once Again Honor Team Diversity During International Break

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is just around the corner, and a series of international friendlies have been scheduled during the week-long window as a sort of precursor to the main event. Soccer is the world’s sport, spanning across many nations, cultures and creeds — a fact that is always made extra apparent during World Cup seasons. Which is why, over the international break, MNUFC has elected to once again celebrate diversity in both the Twin Cities and on its team in a highly visible way.

In the Loons first-team roster alone, there are eighteen countries represented, so from September 19-27, Allianz Field will be lit up with different colors, each representing the flag of the home country of one of the first-team players. Below is a schedule of countries represented, so fans will be able to celebrate alongside Minnesota United by enjoying the flag colors on Allianz Field these next nine days.
