MNUFC2 announced today the club has signed midfielder Emmanuel Iwe and defender CC Uche to an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract, pending league and U.S. Soccer Federation approval.

Iwe joins MNUFC2 after a season at St. Cloud State University. A graduate from St. Louis Park High School, Iwe played over 1300 minutes at St. Cloud and finished the year with six goals and four assists. Iwe becomes the first Minnesota native to be signed by MNUFC2.

Uche joined MNUFC2 after a season with the Las Vegas Lights. Uche was drafted by Los Angeles FC in the second round of the 2021 MLS SuperDraft and spent the 2021 season at Las Vegas where the defender made 26 game appearances and score one goal with one assist. Uche graduated from Ohio State University, but began his college career at Duke University where he was a regular starter as a freshman.
