Minnesota United Presents 2024 ‘Starry Night Kit’

Minnesota United today unveiled the new 2024 ‘Starry Night Kit,’ presented by Target. This season, MNUFC and adidas once again look to the night sky to display the grandeur of constellations scattered across the vast expanse of the universe, alongside a nod that recognizes the states’ French motto, “L’etoile du Nord” – the Star of the North.

This year’s kit is a fresh take on the black jersey look that deepens the connection with the club’s primary color and reflects the breathtaking, boundless glory of the North Star state. The ‘Starry Night Kit’ blends Minnesota’s natural elements with stars that have different sizes and intensities in color as they create a pattern and texture across the black jersey, which brings the six-pointed star of the club’s crest to life.

The binding that adorns this new jersey will once again feature the Minnesota state motto, "L'etoile du Nord.” But, in a departure from the 2023 kit, the taping swaps a rich black for the sky blue that has become synonymous with the club’s identity, as the tape lines the bottom the jersey and evolve into breathable panels that frame the jersey’s number on the back of the jersey.

Minnesota United’s 2024 ‘Starry Night Kit’ will again capture breathtaking beauty of Minnesota with the patterns woven into every inch. This year’s kit contributes to the cause of honoring the state’s nature, as past years have already done. MNUFC’s previous jerseys are part of a continually evolving kit series that has featured the 2019 Drift Kit, 2020 Wing Kit, 2021 River Kit, 2022 Night Kit, and the 2023 Northern Lights Kit.

The ‘Starry Night Kit’ is now on sale at mnufc.com. Minnesota United is hosting a special expanded shopping experience at the Black and Blue Team Store at Allianz Field, in partnership with Target, starting at 8 a.m. CT. Notably, the first 200 fans to purchase the new jersey at the store will receive a limited-edition kit reveal patch, and the first 150 fans to purchase an authentic jersey at the team store (or team store pickup) will receive two (2) tickets to the home game versus LAFC on March 16. Additionally, from 7 – 9 p.m. CT, a light show and stargazing with experts from the University of Minnesota Institute of Astrophysics will take place just outside of Allianz Field.

As part of this year’s Kit Reveal, presented by Target, the club also debuted a special augmented reality experience that allows fans all over the world to see and customize the new jersey in 3D. Developed by local immersive agency, REM5 Studios, “THE STARRY NIGHT EXPERIENCE” displays a life-like rendering of the jersey that fans can customize and share, before entering for a chance to win a team-signed jersey. Additionally, the experience includes four hidden passwords, which, if used as the name on the jersey, will unlock the chance to win additional prizes. As the club continues to be an ambassador of the great state of Minnesota and highlights the importance of natural conservation efforts, Minnesota United wants to honor the state in ways that go beyond the kit designs. Similar to past years, MNUFC will be donating a portion of every authentic jersey sold in the month of February, this year to the Minnesota River Valley Audubon Chapter (MRVAC) of the National Audubon Society. The MRVAC’s mission is, “to provide leadership in promoting environmental awareness, education and advocacy action, especially relating to the wildlife and habitats of the Minnesota River Valley.” Click here to learn more about the MRVAC.

Target returns as the primary kit partner and will continue to be featured on the front of the jersey as they have been since the club’s inaugural MLS season in 2017. Target will also carry the replica jersey and other Minnesota United merchandise in select stores following today’s launch.
