Minnesota United announced today the club has acquired Canadian international defender Doneil Henry off waivers.

Henry joins MNUFC after re-uniting with Toronto FC in July 2022 after starting the season with LAFC. In Major League Soccer, the center-back has made 114 regular-season appearances, playing almost 8,600 minutes while scoring six goals over nine years spent in the league. Henry began his Major League Soccer career notably as Toronto’s first-ever Homegrown Player signing in 2010, where he spent his first five years of professional play from 2010-2014. During those four season, Henry helped the Reds win three consecutive Canadian Championships in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
